Pre-fall 2013: a first look

Upon diving into the latest pre-fall shows, we -like we always do- looked for the good, the bad and the ugly. This year, the young Thakoon keeps surprising: here's the crown jewel of hist latest work. It seems like the asian brand is going 'Elegance'. As known elegance lovers ourselves, we most certainly approve this direction change.

Look at that! In a certain way, it makes me think of Lady Gaga.. Must be the traingle-effect to it, I guess. Never the less, no matter how dared this look is, it can be elegant too. The About series : about Yohji Yamamoto

Hi guys! I know it's been a while (shame on me), but here I am again, ready to drown you in new fashion facts and visions...

From now on there will be frequent posts on facts you probably didn't know about designers yet. This week's post is about Yohji Yamamoto, world famous designer famed for his abstract silhouettes, flats and devotion to black.

When asking Mr. Yamamoto if he finds designing difficult, he answers positive. "I can keep designing just because of its difficulty", he sais. "All the difficulty lies in discovering a new way to explore beauty." And to a question looking for his philosophy, he replies 'Oh, come on!"

Hmm.. I'm disappointed by the designer himself, but of course his creations remain history-worthy!

These twins have really seen it all: from red carpet to late-hour parties. And they keep on going! Still in top ten of must haves in most magazines, these Louboutins have made their designer proud. Style, beauty and elegance. Do we need anything more?

Fashion Bible

This little (actually very large, heavy) darling stands between some other (way less interesting) books now. For a mere 40 euros I got it in a bookshop in Antwerp. And like many devotees, I'd describe it as THE Fashion Bible (aside from Vogue Magazine) for everything you need to know about designers. That means 'to know'-facts about their lives, why they began designing, what inspires them, etc.
Some other stuff I bought: 2 pair of shoes (Zara), some Spring shirts and a light limegreen sweater (see below)
